Dr James Bryman

BDS Peninsula dental school 2021 GDC No 295606

Originally from Brighton, James obtained his BDS degree from the University of Plymouth, winning a prize for his academic achievements. He subsequently completed his foundation training in Somerset and was awarded the ‘Best Final Case’ by the Somerset Foundation Training Scheme.

James is passionate about providing dentistry of the highest quality which is why he is completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, based in London. This allows him to use cutting-edge technology and techniques to provide dentistry that not only looks good and feels amazing but is built to last.

His character traits include being gentle, empathetic and a good listener.

James’ philosophy on dentistry is based on prevention and the preservation of healthy tooth structure, meaning he is always mindful to keep drilling to a minimum. In addition, he has an interest in endodontics (root canal treatment) which has earned him the ‘Pitt-Ford Prize’ from the British Endodontic Society.

Prior to dentistry James was in a Brighton-based band, playing at large music festivals and supporting the likes of Paul Weller and Miles Kane. He continues his passion for music by regularly playing and improvising with other musicians.

Outside of work, James also enjoys a variety of sports such as golf, cricket and surfing. He lived in Cornwall during his time at university and absolutely loves the Cornish lifestyle and exploring the hidden gems of the county.
